COB: COB is a mixture of subsoil and straw mixed well using water. COB  is being used from prehistoric times in construction and is a sustainable method of construction. 
Lime can be mixed to provide waterproofing. 
CSEB (Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks): These are manufactured pressing stabilizing local soil with cement or lime, sand and water. 
They are produced on site, and are sustainable alternatives for burnt brick or clay bricks and have good thermal quality. 
Earth bags: COB mixture filled in polypropylene bags and can provide extreme weather proofing.  
Bamboo
Wattle and daub: A type of traditional construction method which includes a wattle - woven wooden lattice screen, daub - cob plaster. 
Adobe bricks: Adobe bricks (mud bricks) are made of earth with a fairly high clay content and straw. If produced manually the earth mix is cast in open molds onto the ground and then left to dry out. Adobe bricks are only sun-dried, not kiln-fired. 
Traditional cooling methods: There are multiple cooling methods used in traditional buildings which includes lattice (jali) screens, clerestories, egg crate shading, courtyard, wind tower, landscaping and Trombe wall etc.,.
